Curbside Confessions Update
May 12th & 13th (Fri-Sat)
CUP had the pleasure of working with the wonderfully talented Michael McLendon, Kim Smith, Markus Hunter, Ty Tarver, Donald Meyers, Tayloe Nickey, and Chuck Chow over the weekend. Over the span of two days the cast and crew pulled together to knock out 11 pages of script, no small feat I assure you. Long hours, tiring conditions, and many takes combined to create some of the most stunning performances CUP has had the pleasure of capturing on tape. The crew was awestruck while watching the dailies. Amazing, simply amazing! May 20th (Sat)
The CUP crew came together with the brilliant actors Amy Weatherford, Dedrick Bullard, and Markus Seaberry to knock out an amazing 7 pages of script Saturday, something any crew would be proud of. Saturday's shoot did not provide logistical difficulties provided by our previous location (moving equipment up and down stairs all day long), but each shoot provides its own logistical challenges. Let's just say SFX related scenes can take a considerable amount of time to prep for, as well as provide hindrances unique to the nature of the SFX. The cast and crew tackled the challenge with grace and professionalism. Needless to say we had a lot of fun, but I can't talk about it…. =)
As of Saturday May 20th we have shot 1/6th of the film (aprox 20 pages). We are very pleased with the progress at hand. With the upcoming holiday (Memorial Day) none of the cast is scheduled for shoots. The crew will take advantage of this time to edit the vast amount of materials we have captured. How exciting!!!
We are currently looking at our shooting list and will be making updates to accommodate the needs of the production, the cast & crew, etc. Those updates will be posted soon.
CUP webmaster, producer, location scout, friend and Arnold's older brother came to set to watch the production first hand. It was a real treat to have Terry on set, having the opportunity to meet a number of our cast. Terry was swarmed with praise from the cast for his accomplishments with the CUP website. One may wonder if the cast lavished Terry with praise to ensure future website updates catering to his 'new' friends…. LOL…… =)
CUP had another special visitor on set as well Saturday…. Brad Alsobrook from Rusted Sun Films (www.RustedSunFilms.com). Brad is a long time friend who came out to watch us kiddies play filmmaker for the day. If you don't know Brad now, you will. He is everywhere in the indie film scene. Brad is one of the few (as are all of the Rusted Sun members) filmmakers in Memphis who will bend over backwards to assist a fellow filmmaker. We LOVE Brad! May 21st (Sun)
The CUP crew met with CUP editor Mark Dockery to watch dailies, load tapes, and begin the much anticipated editing process. The crew is VERY pleased with the performances of the cast. With excellent production values and stellar performances combined it was smiles all around the editing station….. =)
Not only do we at CUP have an amazing cast and crew, but wonderful friends who do all that they can to assist us in our every effort to make quality indie films. If it were not friends such as these chasing our dreams would be near impossible. We would like to take the time to thank the crew of Rusted Sun Films (Anthony Howald, Anita Howald, Brad Alsobrook, Bevan Bell, Christine Connolly). Their eagerness to assist us has made Curbside Confessions a reality. This is to Anthony, Anita, Brad, Bevan, and Christine….. THANK YOU! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!
